Evening Jazz guests, Mary Louis Lee & Robert Bernard Johnson
Denver vocalists Mary Louise-Lee and Robert Bernard Johnson join Evening Jazz host Paul Donovan on Thursday, April 3, at 4 p.m. to talk about their upcoming show with the Colorado Jazz Repertory Orchestra (CJRO), a tribute to the music of Nat King Cole and his daughter Natalie Cole. This performance is part of the Denver Jazz Fest at The Muse Performance Space on Saturday night, April 5, at 7 p.m.
Mary has performed at many events, including for the Denver Broncos, the Denver Nuggets, a few Democratic National Conventions in 2004, 2008, and 2012, and even touring the world singing for the U.S. Department of Defense.
Robert has been named Best Male Vocalist in the Denver Post Readers poll and Best Jazz Vocalist by the Colorado Black Artists Association. He was honored as Best Male Vocalist by the Colorado Songwriters Association. Plus, he has two new album projects.
