The Rich Chiaraluce Quartet plays LIVE on KUVO Jazz!

KUVO Jazz is pleased to host the Rich Chiaraluce Quartet on the air LIVE on Tuesday, June 7, at 7 pm.

The music from this Colorado-based ensemble will be LIVE on the radio (89.3 FM), KUVO’s stream (www.kuvo.org), and via the KUVO app.

Originally from New Haven, Conn., Chiaraluce has been a Colorado player since he played with the NORAD Band in Colorado Springs in the late 1960s. The University of Northern Colorado graduate has been a music educator and is a vital part of the Colorado jazz scene. His stage credits include performing with the top names in music (Tony Bennett, Nancy Wilson, Natalie Cole, and more). He’s also been the lead alto player with the Tommy Dorsey and Artie Shaw Orchestras.

Rich’s quartet is an all-star assembly of Denver-based players: Jeff Jenkins on keyboards, Todd Reid on drums, and Ken Walker on bass. As bandstands around town open up again, The Rich Chiaraluce Quartet is lined up to play at the Five Points Jazz Festival in June, and in July at Dazzle and the Niwot Jazz Festival.

KUVO Studio Club and Beat Collective members should watch for the e-mail announcing this event and RSVP right away by clicking on the “RSVP” button. Space is limited.

LIVE performances on KUVO JAZZ are supported by Bonfils Stanton Foundation, Drum City Guitarland, Grace Design Pro Audio, Listen Up, Schmitt Music – Englewood, and made possible by KUVO’s Studio Club and Beat Collective members.
