Zweifel – Lewis – Wiens Trio

We are delighted to welcome the iconic trio of Spencer Zweifel (piano), Seth Lewis (bass), and Bobby Wiens (drums) back to the Nocturne stage. This marvelous trio comprises superb players from the Northern Colorado scene who share a common musical sensibility and honor the rich tradition of the piano trio while retaining a unique contemporary voice.

Spencer Zweifel is an accomplished jazz pianist who has performed in a wide variety of genres across Colorado and in tours around the US. Spencer graduated in 2019 with a degree in jazz studies from the University of Northern Colorado. In 2021, Spencer completed a Master’s in jazz studies at William Paterson University, where he studied with Bill Charlap, Aaron Diehl, and Geoffrey Keezer. In 2020, Zweifel formed the Spencer Zweifel Quintet, which has since released 2 records, including 2022’s ‘Before It’s Too Late’.
