Arapahoe Community College Jazz Big Band: Directed by Doug Tidaback

The Arapahoe Community College Jazz Big Band directed by Doug Tidaback, trombone, performs the music of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Buddy Rich, Stan Kenton, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and more. Joined by the Arapahoe Community College Jazz Combo performing the music of Pharaoh Sanders, Raul DeSouza and others the evening promises to be a smorgasbord of jazz styles with something for everyone.

Doug Tidaback has performed with Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole, The Temptations, Diane Shur, Linda Ronstadt and many others. Locally, Mr Tidaback performs with The Symphony of The Rockies ad The Colorado Nighthawks. His groups have toured Europe six times, Asia twice and have won awards at The Essentially Ellington Competition at the Lincoln Center in New York, The Next Generation Jazz Festival, The Fullerton College Jazz Festival and many others.

Special guest artists will include ACC Professor of Trumpet Jason Klobnick and ACC Sax Professor Jeff Miguel.
