Benny Bloom
Denver resident and one of the most diverse trumpet players in the country.

Eric Benny Bloom is a Denver based trumpet player and vocalist. Throughout his professional career, Eric has toured North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. He has appeared on many T.V. shows, including the Today Show, the David Letterman Show, and the Conan O’Brien Show. He has also performed with many notable artists such as Wu-Tang Clan, The Marley Brothers, Kool & The Gang, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Kahn, Sharon Jones, Charles Bradley, Tower of Power, Run DMC, Pretty Lights, Marcus King, GRIZ, Dave Matthews Band, Skrillex, and many more.

In 2011, Eric joined “Lettuce”, one of the most critically-acclaimed funk bands in the world today. Their 2019 album “Elevate”, was nominated for a Grammy. They continue to tour and record music and their latest album “ Vibe”, was released in 2023.

In 2014, he moved to New Orleans and quickly made a name for himself in the Crescent City. In 2016, he played trumpet on Aaron Neville’s album, “Apache”, and won a Grammy for playing on Jon Cleary’s album, “Go-Go Juice”.

In 2019, Eric moved to Denver to create a natural wine distribution company called “Benny & Zoid Selections”, which sells to Michelin Star & James Beard Award winning restaurants/bars all over Colorado.

In 2020 he started the Denver based group “Bttrfly Quintet” with Adam Deitch (Lettuce), Borahm Lee (Pretty Lights/Break Science), Hunter Roberts (Dragon Deer) & Dominic Lalli (Big Gigantic). In 2022, he put together the “Honkytonk Express”, a Colorado country band that fuses outlaw country with funk. They just released their self-titled debut album in 2024.

In 2024, he put out his first funk album of mostly original material, “Late Bloomer”, which was recorded back in 2018 in New Orleans utilizing the talents of 18 different local musicians.
