Rhythm Future Quartet

Rhythm Future Quartet -  a group of young New York jazz virtuosos  specializing in the Django Reinhardt/ Stephane Grappelli tradition - will perform live at the KUVO studio June 11 at 4 PM.

The group is stopping by KUVO on their way to perform at the Colorado Gypsy Jazz Festival June 12 at the Holiday Event Center.

Longmont High School

As part of the station's High School/Collegiate Series, KUVO is proud to welcome Longmont High School's advanced jazz ensemble - "The Rhythmaires"- for an in-studio performance May 12 from 7 to 8 PM MT.

These students are mastering diverse jazz styles, from Dixieland to today’s modern jazz. This jazz ensemble also emphasizes exploring the art of improvisation and performance.

Rico Jones

Up-and-coming Denver tenor saxophonist Rico Jones will be performing live at KUVO with his quartet May 7 from 5 to 6 PM MT.

Rico will be accompanied by Alex Heffron on guitar, Joey Pearlman on bass, and Kevin Matthews on drums. 

A 17-year old junior at Denver School of the Arts, Rico was one of 32 high school students selected nationwide for 2015 Grammy Camp. 

Big Swing Trio

Tune in on May 5 from 2 to 3 pm MT for a live in-studio performance by the Big Swing Trio!

In order for three friends to play together for more than 30 years, there has to be something magical about their musical union. Such is the case with the Big Swing Trio.

Playing spirited arrangements of swing, Latin, hard-bop, Blues and jazz standard, The Big Swing Trio knows how to please a crowd. The group features Mark Diamond on bass, Paul Romaine on drums, and Andy Weyl on piano.
