Vail Jazz Party features a House Band with John Clayton, Terell Stafford, Wycliffe Gordon, Bill Cunliffe, and Lewis Nash.

¡Cubanismo! is a musical journey set to the irresistible dancing heartbeat of Cuban music. This sizzling 11-piece band, featuring two vocalists, takes listeners through the classic repertoire of the great Cuban rhythms. From Cuban classics and jazz to New Orleans beats and mambo, the band delivers horns driving the arrangements with various percussionists anchoring the pulse.

Join Vail Jazz as they celebrate Ella Fitzgerald’s 100th birthday by re-creating one of the most iconic pairings in jazz history: Lady Ella and legendary trumpeter and vocalist, Louis Armstrong. With the passion and swagger of Satchmo himself, Byron Stripling’s phenomenal trumpet playing and vocals are complemented by Count Basie Big Band singer Carmen Bradford. more

In 1917, New Orleans-based a Dixieland Jass Band record was the first to be stamped as "jazz," and the city maintains its reputation as the heart of jazz music to this day. The 23rd Annual Vail Jazz Festival features music and performers from all over the United States and across the globe, but the New Orleans theme recurs periodically -- here's what to look for.

The Vail Jazz All-Stars, Alumni Quintet + House band will perform last concert of the Vail Jazz @ Vail Square series at the Jazz Tent at Vail Square before the Vail Jazz Party on Labor Day Weekend! This summer evening series in the beautiful outdoor courtyard at The Arrabelle literally overflows with enthusiasm for the remarkable roster of international performers.
