La Nueva Voz

Sunday, 8 to 9 AM

A bilingual program of Latin American music and news, La Nueva Voz has been a staple of KUVO's Sunday mornings since 1985. Every week, host Jack Mudry takes listeners to a different Central or South American nation and presents their music, history, and culture.

Jack shares CDs, vinyl LPs and cassettes collected from his time living and traveling throughout South America.

History, social justice, and dancing themes come alive through tropical folkloric music, Andean styles, New Song, and jazz-inspired instrumental – making this specialty program a favorite of many listeners!

Cuban author, poet and diplomat Jose Marti said “La Musica es el alma de los pueblos”- Music is the soul of the people. Join Jack on a journey to explore the essence of that soul every Sunday morning from 8 to 9 AM. Gracias y hasta pronto!

La Nueva Voz's Jack Mudry will host a special edition of Salsa Con Jazz showcasing a wide variety of Colombian salsa and folkloric music on November 1 from 4 to 6 PM.

Jack will be joined by a special guest host - his wife, Sylvia Mudry. Sylvia is a native of Colombia with an extensive collection of Colombian music rarely broadcasted.

Don't miss this amazing tribute to Colombian music!
