18th Annual Longmont Jazz Festival

July 16, 2016 – Roosevelt Park Pavilion, Longmont

Join us for our annual festival.  Bring a chair to sit in the pavilion or a blanket to sit on the grass.  Food vendors will be available.

 

Schedule:

11:00-11:45 a.m. - Longmont All Star Jazz Band - comprised of the top high school jazz students in the Longmont area. 

 

12:00-1:00 p.m. - Annie Booth Trio - Consisting of three of the finest young Colorado jazz musicians (Annie Booth-piano, Patrick McDevitt-bass, Alejandro Castano-drums), this trio performs an energetic and infectious swinging repertoire of unique original compositions and eclectic arrangements of jazz and pop favorites. 

 

1:15-2:15 p.m. - Aulternate Reality Jazz

 

2:30-3:30 p.m. - Summit Hot 7

 

3:45-4:45 p.m. - Eric Trujillo and the Mambotet

 

5:00-6:00 p.m. - Max Wagner Quartet - Jazz classics, standards and originals with alto saxophonist and vocalist (“that cat can skat!”) Max Wagner.  Featuring Eric Gunnison at the piano, Ken Walker playing bass and Todd Reid on drums. 

 

6:15-7:15 p.m. - Joe Smith and the Spicy Pickles - a Denver based vintage jazz band devoted to revitalizing swing music and dance.  This small group style swing band packs a punch of power, personality, and wit into each show, intriguing generations new and old with the beloved charm of big band swing of the 1930’s and 40’s.
