“Appearing in Denver for the first time, powerhouse singer Mafalda Minnozzi will present a magical cultural fusion from her show “Portraits in Bossa and Jazz” that has toured Italy and Brazil.” Mafalda has an over 20 year solid touring and recording career in Italy and Brazil, marked by collaborations with Milton Nascimento, Guinga, Leny Andrade, Toquinho, Andre Mehmari and others while Ricci’s work with Dom Um Romao, Edison Machado and Astrud and Bebel Gilberto bring something special to the duo.

Corrupter was started by drummer Mark Serratoni and percussionist Rob Kettelson to explore Afro-Cuban Jazz and Funk from the '60s and '70s. Employing a rotating cast of some of Denver’s best jazz players, they put their own spin on the music of Mongo Santamaria, Wayne Shorter, Thelonious Monk and Maceo Parker. At La Cour, they believe Live Jazz should be as accessible as possible. As always there is no cover charge.

The Elisa Garcia Trio brings Latin American folk songs from Mexico, Cuba, Venezuela, down to Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay. Bringing rhythms like huapango, boleros, cumbias, zambas, and candombes, the trio takes listeners on a journey through Latin America. Comprised of Uruguayan singer/guitarist, Elisa Garcia, Mexican percussionist, Leo Corona, (who has toured with artists like Willie Colon, Jaguares, Lucero, Juanes and many more), and world-renowned Venezuelan pianist, Victor Mestas.

Harry Drabkin, a former Berklee faculty member, is solidly Coltrane (tenor and soprano sax), but also influenced by Dexter Gordon and other 20th century contemporaries.
