Join host Michael Wulfsohn for “Wulfie’s Wax Museum,” on the Monday Night Beat at 8pm, as we take a listen to selections from flutist, Frank Wess’s 1971 release on the Memphis based, Stax/Enterprise Records label, “Wess to Memphis.”  This album was recorded the same year, at the historic Muscle Shoals Studio in Memphis, TN.  Backed up by an uncredited, Motown pick-up studio rhythm section, it also features saxophonist, Eli Fantane, from Marvin Gaye’s horn section from the 1971 “What’s Goin’ On” hit single.

This album is available only on vinyl.  Tune in tonight at 8 pm for the next Monday Night Beat, on KUVO Jazz.
