Join host Michael Wulfsohn next Monday night for “Wulfie’s Wax Museum,” on the Monday Night Beat, as we listen to the creative, diverse and progressive talent of guitarist, John Scofield, on his 1988 Gramavision album, “Loud Jazz.”

This varied and consistently interesting LP, features the great George Duke on the keyboard solos, while Sco, as usual, ventures into unexplored musical territory that defies categorization, but is undoubtedly jazz, in its many forms.

A veteran of Miles Davis for 3 years, Sco formed his “Blue Matter Band,” including Robert Aries on keyboards, Dennis Chambers on drums, and Gary Grainger on bass after leaving Miles. This album was a Blue Matter Band recording with special guest artists, George Duke and Don Alias.

This album will keep your ears on your toes! Don’t miss this wax!  Tune in Monday at 8 pm for “Wulfie’s Wax Museum” on the next Monday Night Beat, on KUVO Jazz.
