Join host Michael Wulfsohn on March 4 at 8 pm for “Wulfie’s Wax Museum,” on the Monday Night Beat, as we get FUNKY again, with master funk-fusion guitarist, Hiram Bullock, on his 1987 Atlantic Jazz LP, “Give it What U Got.” This album clearly identifies Hiram as a Jazz Fusion guitarist with an innovative, funky, high-energy, and impactful style.

Only his 2nd release as a leader, Hiram is surrounded by some killer jazz Funk-Fusion greats, including Michael and Randy Brecker, Will Lee, and David Sanborn. The tunes are varied, and show his musical and stylistic influences from masters such as Pat Metheny, Jaco Pastorius, Tower of Power, as well as collaborations with Miles Davis, Bob James, Paul Simon, and Steely Dan.  He now is perhaps most well-known for his 11-year membership, and playing barefoot alongside bassist Will Lee, in “The World’s Most Dangerous Band” for the Late Night with David Letterman show.

If you like high-energy, Funk-Fusion guitar then don’t miss this wax! Tune in Monday at 8 pm for “Wulfie’s Wax Museum” on the next Monday Night Beat, on KUVO Jazz.
