Where Students Make Music: Colorado Gives Day!

You’ve heard the one about the student band that got their shot at fame by playing live on the radio? It’s not a joke!KUVO’s High School / Collegiate Series has showcased student musicians for more than 20 years from the Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio.

Year-round, KUVO Jazz helps promote student performances, school band festivals, local auditions, and other special events. KUVO is highlighting its ongoing programs to promote music education on Colorado Gives Day.

KUVO Music Producer Susan Gatschet curated 14 tracks from the archives of the live broadcast series for re-broadcast throughout the day today. Tune in!

It is our position that student musicians are worthy of the notoriety that other students’ extra-curricular pursuits enjoy (spelling bee, model UN, debate club, athletics, etc.)
