Monique Brooks Roberts, a seasoned violinist and composer originally from Louisville, Ky. and currently based in Denver, Colo., is leaving an indelible mark on the music scene with her captivating blend of soul and jazz fusion. Monique’s sultry and soulful violin craftsmanship is gaining widespread recognition.

In her rich and fulfilling career, Monique has recorded and performed for renowned artists such as Lizzo, Alicia Keys, Common, Jill Scott, Busta Rhymes, and many more. A touring member of the Philadelphia String Quartet for seven years, she has graced stages at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, Radio City Music Hall, and international venues like the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, Russia, and Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow.

At the peak of the pandemic, Monique teamed with a singer (Rajdulari) and a poet (Kerrie Joy) on “The SIP Podcast,” a healing platform for artists and community voices. Monique’s philosophy: Music heals, feeds, and nourishes the soul.
