Vinyl Vault — Perigeo

Perigeo has alternatively been described as jazz-rock fusion and as progressive rock. The fact is that the band melded all those influences into an elegant, intricate mixture that still sounds good in the 21st Century.

The band was generally a quintet with bass, drums, keys, guitar, and sax. For “The Valley of the Temples” they added another percussionist. Aside from some later reunion projects, the band’s most active and creative period coincided almost exactly with the decade of the 1970s.
