Vinyl Vault — Krasno Moore Project, “Book of Queens”

This week the Vinyl Vault gets its funk on with an album from the Krasno Moore Project entitled, “Book of Queens.” The band features Eric Krasno on guitar, Stanton Moore on drums, and Eric Finland on organ and other keyboards.

The album was just released last year and is dedicated to women in music. Krasno and Moore said they wanted to make an album their wives would be proud of.

Krasno is a veteran of the funky jam bands Lettuce and Soulive and he’s appeared as a guest with many other bands including playing bass, for a time, with the Tedeschi Trucks Band. Moore has been the drummer for New Orleans based Galactic for many years and has recorded as a leader under his name as well.
