Vinyl Vault: “Benson & Farrell”

The Tuesday Night Beat this week continues its look at jazz in 1976 as part of Jazz Appreciation Month. And at 8:30 pm tonight, April 16 the Vinyl Vault will feature an album from George Benson and Joe Farrell simply entitled “Benson and Farrell.” That was the other George Benson album from 1976 (in addition to the big hit “Breezin’”). “Benson and Farrell” was released on CTI Records and features that label’s signature 1970s sound. The album was arranged by David Matthews who also wrote most of the tunes. Check out the Night Beat with host Geoff Anderson from 8 to 10 this Tuesday evening, only on KUVO Jazz.
