The Vinyl Vault features Booker Ervin’s “Back From the Gig.” This is a Blue Note “twofer” the first part of which is also attributed to pianist Horace Parlan (“Happy Frame of Mind”). It’s all good, with Grant Green, Butch Warren and Billy Higgins, from 1963.
