Vinyl Vault: “Arabesque” by John Klemmer
This week’s Vinyl Vault features John Klemmer’s 1978 album “Arabesque,” released on the ABC record label. Klemmer, a tenor sax man with a big, fat sound, explores Brazilian and Latin rhythms with players like Oscar Castro-Neves on guitar and a supercharged percussion section of Lenny White on drums augmented by Alex Acuna and Airto on assorted percussion instruments. Klemmer is also joined by Abraham Laboriel on bass and Roger Kellaway and Pat Rebillot on keyboards. Join Geoff Anderson TONIGHT, Tuesday, 11/12 at 8:30pm for the Vinyl Vault on KUVO Jazz.
