Vinyl Vault: “Arabesque” by John Klemmer

This week’s Vinyl Vault features John Klemmer’s 1978 album “Arabesque,” released on the ABC record label. Klemmer, a tenor sax man with a big, fat sound, explores Brazilian and Latin rhythms with players like Oscar Castro-Neves on guitar and a supercharged percussion section of Lenny White on drums augmented by Alex Acuna and Airto on assorted percussion instruments.
