Tiny Desk Seeks Big Talent

Got a big dream of playing the Tiny Desk? Send us a video of you playing one song behind a desk of your choosing. If you win, you’ll get to play your very own Tiny Desk concert and go on tour with NPR Music.

NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest is open for entries. We’re sharing some new resources and information about the Contest so that you’re best prepared to promote and engage with the Contest within your areas. As a reminder, all of these updates are posted on the TDC resource page in NPR Studio, linked below.

New updates include:

  • Judges announced: Bob Boilen, Bobby Carter, Sharon Van Etten, KEXP’s Albina Cabrera, Sudan Archives, and Baby Rose will be judging this year’s entries.
  • Tour cities announced: The TDC winner will be visiting Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Chicago, and  Houston this summer for the Tiny Desk Contest On The Road tour.
  • Contest open social toolkit: This toolkit can be downloaded from the TDC resource page, and includes suggested social copy, on-air promo scripts, press release link, as well as key details about the Contest.
  • Updated visual assets: Editable, co-brandable visual assets are now available for use on your station platforms. Find those in the visual assets file on the TDC resource page.
