The Morning Set Brings The Street Mix

The Morning Set, KUVO JAZZ’s new morning show with long time on-air host and general manager, Carlos Lando, premieres on Monday, March 28, and with new shows comes new content! Tune in on Monday mornings on The Morning Set, where we’re featuring a segment called “The Street Mix,” highlighting Denver’s very own neighborhoods.

Denver is home to some of the most vibrant and cultural neighborhoods, and we want to spotlight these hoods, their culture, origin story, local events and more. One week, we may be looking at Five Points to discuss its jazz scene and another week look at Baker and its shops and restaurants. Going from local to national and international, we’ll cover the cities and countries with significant backgrounds in jazz music. Cities such as New Orleans and New York, and countries like Cuba that brings the jazz in their own special way. The Street Mix takes our listeners on a journey around Denver, Colorado, and around the world to spotlight these places’ cultural and musical significance.
