The Gospel Train — Interviews actress Kenya Mahogany-Fashaw
In honor of Women’s History Month, The Gospel Train features an interview with Kenya Mahogany-Fashaw, an actress performing in the play celebrating Toni Stone.
Toni Stone was the first woman to play baseball in the Negro Leagues, and the first woman to play professionally in any men’s league, anywhere in the United States.
Against all odds, Toni blazed a trail through the male-dominated world of sports, shattering the limitations others placed on her, and creating her own set of rules. Follow Toni’s journey as she fights for love, equality, and a chance to do what she wants most — to play ball!
The play “Toni Stone” is on stage from March 10 through April 2 at the Aurora Fox Theatre.
Tune in to The Gospel Train on Sunday, March 5 at 8 am when host Deborah Walker chats with Kenya Mahogany-Fashaw.
