Windham Hill Records founder and guitarist Will Ackerman presents The Gathering Concert at Boulder’s eTOWN HALL on December 5.
Ackerman will be performing with pianists Louis Colaiannia and Kathryn Kaye as well as guitarist Todd Boston.

He is a Grammy winner and the recipient of 27 Gold and Platinum Records in the US and internationally.
Having sold Windham Hill to SONY/BMG in May of 1992, Ackerman has continued to produce musicians in the tradition of Windham Hill.
Albums that Will has recently produced have won multiple ZMR Music Awards, and no producer has had more #1 albums on the NAR/ZONE MUSIC charts.
In May, 2013 Ackerman was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 9th Annual ZMR Music Awards. In 2012, Will began creating compilation CDs of the musicians he was currently producing, calling these, THE GATHERING.
The first Gathering CD, won the coveted ZMR Album of the Year and Best Contemporary Instrumental Album awards with the highest ratings of any CD in the history of those charts.
Ackerman lives in Windham County, Vermont where he produces year round at his Imaginary Road Studios with engineer and co-‐producer Tom Eaton. Will remains an avid surfer and world-‐traveler.
Louis ColaianniaA native of Denver, Colaiannia is a master of classical piano, an accomplished songwriter, arranger, and performer. His performances have been called “stunning in their power and beauty.”
His most recent album, Closer, was Number 1 on the One World Music Top 100 Radio Chart and nominated for a Zone Music Award and an EPR Award.
A nationally touring musician performing solo concerts as well as concerts with artists such as Liz Story, he has also performed at Keystone Jazz Festival, Woodland Park Jazz Festival, and Copper Mountain Jazz Festival.
Colaiannia is set to release a new album in 2013.
Colaiannia holds a Mozart Award for his contributions to music, and his latest releases show his versatility, breaking into the Contemporary Jazz, New Age and “Chill” realms. His masterful interpretations of the electronic keyboard and traditional piano combine with his skillful arrangements to create music that moves the soul.
He is a Primo Award winner two years in a row (2011 and 2012) for Italian American Entertainer of the Year and was recently inducted into the Colorado Italian American Hall of Fame 2012.
