Tune in to hear students of the Denver School of the Arts Jazz Workshop Concert perform live from 3 to 4pm. The students of the Denver School of the Arts Jazz Workshop Concert are some of the best high school jazz students in the state of Colorado. All of the students were part of the big band that competed and placed 2nd of 15 bands in the international Essentially Ellington High School Band Competition and Festival in New York city last May. Three of the five performed in the 2017 Vail Jazz Workshop – a nationally renowned jazz experience led by bassist John Clayton.  This year the quintet has performed many local gigs and artist clinics, most recently for saxophonist Dave Liebman.

The students are: Chris Ferrari – Tenor/Soprano Saxophone, Sam Keedy – Trombone, Alec Streete – Vibraphone, Tony Golden – Bass and Aleks Girshevich – Drums. Under the direction of Dave Hammond, Director of Bands.
