Throughout the month of March, KUVO celebrates Women’s History Month by recognizing the contributions of notable women from the past who have impacted music. We will also be spotlighting women of the present who are actively creating memorable music today.

Teresa is a popular Jazz Vocalist who has been performing in the Denver/ Colorado area for over 30 years. She has worked steadily through the years performing in different Jazz Clubs and Venues and is featured on 5 KUVO compilation CD’s while also volunteering for dozens of  live performances during the KUVO Fund Drives. She was awarded ‘Best Jazz Vocalist’ from Westword Newspaper twice.  Once for ‘Best Opera Singer’. She is a regular performer at Dazzle and has sung at numerous Jazz Festivals including Jazz Aspen Snowmass, Westcliff Jazz Festival, Estes Park Jazz Festival, A Taste of Colorado, City Park Jazz and The Peoples Fair. She has been a guest artist on many CD’s including Fred Wesley’s’ Comme Ci, Comme Ca. She recorded her debut CD  in 2005, which gets airplay to this day on KUVO Public Radio.

She is sought out as a regular performer on the Denver jazz scene. She currently performs at The Golden Hotel, The Summit Steakhouse, Nocturne, Dazzle Jazz, La Cour Bistro & Jazz Bar, Nonna’s, The Crimson Room and Caffe Sole among other venues.
