SuCh (pronounced ’such’) – performing at DazzleJazz September 18 – is a Boston born, New York raised, California educated, Chicago groomed Soul singer.

As a performer she has enough energy to power a small city. Her vocals and stage presence have captivated and won over audiences in renowned venues across the U.S., U.K, France, and the Netherlands.

A natural-born storyteller, SuCh weaves lyrics that capture and express life’s feelings and experiences of love, loss, and happiness.

Nowhere is her writing adeptness more evident than on her sophomore album, Trial and Error, recorded and released on her own Arc Sai label. A collection as eclectic as her upbringing and filled with instantly unforgettable melodies, these songs soar in her clear and soulful voice. This release follows on the heels of her successful lead single, “Sugar Maple,” which topped UK’s Soul Charts for several consecutive weeks and is a heavy favorite on urban and satellite radio.

SuCh is also an award-winning actress, earning Henry and Broadway World nods for her portrayal of Celie in the Color Purple, and counts among her accomplishments several TV appearances and finishing in the top 60 on American Idol.
