Studio Club: Spherio LIVE on KUVO

Denver’s own Thelonious Monk tribute band Spherio performs LIVE from KUVO’s Bonfils-Stanton Performance Studio on Thursday, February 22 at 7 p.m.

Spherio is a Denver-based group that mainly focuses on arranging and playing the music of Thelonious Sphere Monk. The band has been together since 2015 and has performed in Denver’s finest jazz clubs and the Five Points Jazz Fest. Their albums Spherio Volumes 1 and 2 receive regular airplay on 89.3 FM KUVO.

Spherio features Tenia Nelson, a long-time Denver resident and musician/educator on the keys, Brendan O’Donoghue, originally from Massachusetts on the bass, and Swiss-born Andreas Schmid on drums.
