Studio Club: High School/Collegiate Series – Denver Jazz Club Youth All-Stars LIVE on KUVO

KUVO’s High School Collegiate Performance Series presents the Denver Jazz Club Youth All-Stars on Tuesday, May 9 at 7 p.m.
It’s one of Denver’s longest-running youth ensembles, under the direction of Dr. Ed Cannava (CAN-ah-vah), performing in the Masterpiece Studio!

The Denver Jazz Club Youth All-Stars have performed at jazz festivals around Colorado, including the Evergreen Jazz Festival and the Denver Vintage Jazz Festival. National tours have taken the Youth All-Stars to the the Sacramento Jazz Festival, Sacramento Hot Jazz Jubilee, Seton Hall (New Jersey) in New Orleans, and most recently at the February 2023 Sounds of Mardi Gras Jazz Festival in Fresno. Internationally, they’ve played at the Montreux, Switzerland Jazz Festival, the Tunnel-Vienna-Live-Club, the Assisi, Italy Music Festival, the Umbria Jazz Festival, the Expo in Citta Festival (Milan), and the Kongsberg, Norway Jazz Festival. The DJC Youth All-Stars will be performing on a Concert Tour to New York City in June 2023.

Banjo: Joey Crooks, Senior, East HS,
Piano: Sebastian Maa, Freshman, Denver School of the Arts,
Bass: Caedon Hynum, Sophomore, Lutheran HS,
Drums: Bennett Miller, Senior, East HS.

LIVE performances on KUVO JAZZ are supported by Bonfils Stanton Foundation, Drum City Guitarland, Grace Design Pro Audio, Listen Up, Schmitt Music – Englewood, and made possible by KUVO’s Studio Club and Beat Collective members.
