Steve Kovalcheck Quartet | Saturdays in June

Guitarist and composer Steve Kovalcheck returns to Nocturne on Saturdays for the month of June, leading four unique quartets performing original compositions. These groups represent a cross-section of the special talent found in the Denver jazz scene. Each quartet will interpret music chosen specifically to celebrate the spirit of collaborative improvisation. Nocturne provides the perfect venue for these hard swinging explorations, setting the stage for some memorable evenings.

June 2 features: Dru Heller-drums, Erik Appelgate-bass, John Gunther-tenor sax

June 9 features: Paul Romain-drums, Ken Walker-bass, John Gunther-tenor sax

June 16 features: Paul Romain-drums, Ken Walker-bass, John Gunther-tenor sax

June 23 features: Alejandro Castano-drums, Ken Walker-bass, Gabriel Mervine-trumpet

June 30 features: Brian Claxton-drums, Matt Smiley-bass, Jeff Jenkins-piano

Second Set: 9:00 pm – 10:30 pm
