On Saturday, December 1 at 6 pm, the R&B Jukebox will feature music from the legendary record label, Stax records! Stax created the “Memphis Sound,” and produced some of the greatest soul, R&B and blues music during the Golden Age of Rhythm and Blues. Join host Ricky Moseley as we celebrate the history of the label, including featuring artists such as Otis Redding, Sam & Dave, Booker T. & The MG’s, and many others. We’ll talk about the unique structure of Stax, the players involved, and the social significance of this important part of our history. Tune in this Saturday at 6 pm!
