Stafford Hunter Meets Spherio Dazzle Live Stream

Stafford Hunter Saturdays Presents: “Stafford Hunter Meets Spherio” a Dazzle live stream, on Saturday, January 16 at 7 pm.

Stafford Hunter plays trombone and shells; he is a Grammy nominated trombonist/sea-shells player/vocalist. Mr. Hunter is a Philadelphia native and graduate of the New School (NYC). He has performed and/or recorded with Clark Terry, McCoy Tyner, Roy Hargrove, Frank Foster, Lester Bowie, Amy Winehouse, Toshiko Akiyoshi, Dionne Warwick, Donald Byrd Dance Troupe, Lenny Kravitz, Oliver Lake, Orrin Evans’ Captain Black big band, Steve Turre & Sanctified Shells, and was a 21 years member of the Duke Ellington Orchestra. As a leader Stafford has 5 albums to date.

Spherio is a Denver based modern jazz trio that honors the musical language and dialogue started by Thelonious Sphere Monk more than a half century ago.
