Andy O’
On-Air Host | Production Assistant
Andy O’ is a musician (his band Coyote Poets has 6 albums out) and an award-winning poet who came on board at KUVO on Labor Day 1989.
Since then he has worked nearly every air shift and from 1997 to 2003 he was the Music Director at KUVO. In 1997 he created “Jazz on the Edge” a show featuring the Avant-Garde and was the show’s first host which ran Sunday nights after JazzTales a program integrating Poetry and Jazz that won Westwords Best radio show. In 2014 he converted the two shows into The Nightside with Andy O’ which still runs on Sunday nights at 9:00.
He has an in depth knowledge of jazz and is now working in the production department in addition to his on air duties as a sub and co-host of “Influenced” with Abi Clarke as well as hosting The Nightside. He refers to himself as KUVO’s Sixth Man.
