Founded in 2012 under the direction of saxophonist Art Bouton, the CJRO has been on a mission “to perform the best music with the best musicians.” The band has recorded two CDs: “Invitation” (2017) and “Overjoyed – The Music of Stevie Wonder” (2020), but they really shine in live performances statewide with big-band classics from Basie, Kenton, Ellington, Ferguson, and Rich, plus original arrangements by CJRO composers and other modern fare.
