Special Guest Interview with Arelle Tones—Thursday Night Jazz Odyssey

This week on the Thursday Night Jazz Odyssey, host Dele reconnects with a childhood friend from the local Nigerian community here in Metro Denver, Arelle Tones. Arelle’s music blends the flavor of the Afrobeat music he knew growing up with the swagger of modern Hip Hop to create a sound authentic to his experience.

Dele and Arelle discuss Arelle’s recent single “Save Us” released in the wake of #ENDSARS protests in Nigeria in October of this year, Arelle finding his identity and sound as an artist, opening for international Afrobeat superstar Burna Boy, and a serendipitous opportunity to film a music video in Nigeria.
