SongBird Vocal Jazz Festival

The SongBird Vocal Jazz Fest announces Miles Griffith as the featured vocalist and clinician. Miles Griffith will present an evening concert in KUVO’s Masterpiece Studio on Friday, November 4, at 7 pm to kick off the 2022 SONGBIRD VOCAL JAZZ FEST! Joining him on stage: Jeff Jenkins on piano, Mark Simon on bass, and Harold Summey on drums. Tickets for this concert are available via Eventbrite! You will receive a confirmation email once your ticket is purchased.

The SongBird Vocal Jazz Fest is an all-day event on Saturday, November 5, from 8:30 am to 9 pm, for jazz singers and instrumentalists who work with jazz singers, focusing on the art and business of vocal jazz performance. SongBird Vocal Jazz Fest is for singers of ALL genres, students, educators, and instrumentalists who work with singers and jazz aficionados. The festival is designed to be a supportive environment for persons of ALL experience levels.  It’s a place where musicians are encouraged and free to grow boldly, and find their own voice, with support from professional educators.

Workshops, concerts, networking, and fun!

SQUEEBLIN! Jazz for Kids with Jeff & Terri Jo Jenkins *separate fee for this kids-only session on Saturday, November 5 at 10 am – For our young jazz enthusiasts, ages 6 to 11. Professional jazz musicians will teach the basic ingredients of jazz with the focus being on FUN! Kids will be led through self-expression in singing, improvising, and rhythm by a cast of characters from Jeff’s original Squeeblin! musical. NOTE: We ask parents or guardians to stay onsite during this session. Coffee & refreshments will be available. Register here. LOCATION: KUVO Lobby
