The Songbird Vocal Jazz Fest is an all-day event at The Muse in Lafayette, Colorado, focusing on vocal jazz performance and jazz singing education. This event includes a panel discussion, workshops, a showcase for participants, and a concert presented by our featured clinician, noted jazz vocalist Jackie Allen. The Songbird Vocal Jazz Fest workshops are designed for experienced singers age 16 & over who wish to further their knowledge in vocal jazz performance technique and communication of this art form.

SCHEDULE OF DAY’S EVENT

8:00 am – Registration / Social Hour (refreshments provided)

9:00 am – Workshop: Expanding Your Vocal Jazz Knowledge with Art Lande

10:30 am – Panel Discussion: Let’s Talk Jazz Performing in Today’s World

11:45 – Break for lunch (there are many local lunch restaurants near by)

12:45 – Master Class: From A to Stage with Jackie Allen

2:45 pm- 15 min break

3:00 pm – Workshop: Communicating with Your Band with Jeff Jenkins

4:30 pm – Showcase Rehearsal with SVJF rhythm section

5:30 pm – Break for dinner

6:30 pm – SHOWCASE presented by Master Class participants

8:00 pm –  Jackie Allen in Concert!
