SoBo Four CD Release Party at Dazzle | Oct. 27

The group features saxophonist Yasuo Ishikawa, bassist Derek Woodbury, drummer Brian Mixond, and keyboardist Elliot Litz.

Ishikawa, Woodbury, and Mixond came together in a larger jazz ensemble at the Broadway Music School on Denver’s South Broadway in early 2011.

After performing together in several gigs at the school and other venues throughout Denver, the three musicians formed The SoBo Four and began building their own repertoire. Keyboardist Litz joined the jazz quartet in 2014.

Each musician brings a unique jazz background with years of study and performance under strong mentors from the Colorado music community.

The SoBo Four ​​released its first recording, The G.K. Story, in June 2013, with a sold-out CD release party at DazzleJazz. For their second CD project, the SoBo Four proudly returns to Dazzle to celebrate the release of their latest jazz recordings.
