Saying Goodbye to Freddy Rodriguez, Sr.

We are sad to announce that our long-time KUVO family member Freddy Rodriguez, Sr. passed away in the evening on March 25, from complications with COVID-19. Freddy recorded on at least two Live at the Oasis CDs. He and his Jazz Connection performed at KUVO’s Jazz Messenger parties and also at the last five Rocky Mountain Public Media holiday parties. He will be missed by all.

Message from Freddy Rodriguez, Jr.:
“To all my family friends and musician family, this is Freddie Jr., my father Freddy Sr. passed away last night 7:10pm. He died from complications of COVID-19 virus and other underlying health issues. As you know due to the current circumstances that we find ourselves in we will have to do a celebration of life ceremony after this storm has passed. Thoughts and well wishes can be made on the Freddy Rodriquez Sr. Memorial Facebook page (will be up momentarily). At this time I ask for your prayers and privacy while my family and I mourn the loss of my father.

I would like to pass along to everyone please protect your elders your loved ones, and yourselves.”
