Join Paul Donovan on Thursday, November 21 at 4 p.m., as he talks with saxophonist Sarah Mount. She and German-born saxophonist Daniel Steigleder recently married and SINCE THEY GOT ENGAGED ON THE DAZZLE STAGE, they are celebrating at their show!

They met on Instagram in 2020, sending messages back and forth and doing Zoom calls during the pandemic, eventually talking for hours, they found they had the same values and goals in life. Daniel came for a 10-day visit and wrote her a song “Living on Denver Time” so named because he had to stay up late to talk with her regularly. He says “We soon realized that we are the happiest we ever have been and that we have friends and family supporting us and our plans. It was sometime in the fall of 2022 when I had already felt the urge to propose to Sarah and I started planning for it with the help of her sister Rae and some friends. Sarah and I had been talking about getting married a lot ever since we met for the first time and we both knew that it would be us or no one.”

Led by the local saxophonist who hails from the Mile High City — Sarah Mount and the Rushmores have been delivering improvised, driven groove, and neo-soul sound to the Denver area for the last five years.

The band features a core line-up with powerhouse players Daniel Steigleder on tenor sax, Kyle Cervantes on bari sax, Dom Fante on drums, Kyle Driscoll on guitar, Jake Hasluck on bass, and Barth Bhargava on keys, along with accompanying featured guest artists every show with an array of both original music and cover songs.

Their Dazzle show is on Friday, November 22 at 6:30 p.m.
