On Stage: Quartets & Quintets!

This Sunday, August 25, at 4 p.m., KUVO’s performance archive show “On Stage” showcases the jazz quartet and the jazz quintet.

From KUVO’s 20-plus year performance archive, we’ve got quartet sessions with Teddy Edwards, Nelson Rangell, guitarist Paul Musso, Max Wagner and Andy Nevala. We’ve got quintet sessions with violinist Regina Carter, Dexter Payne, Freddy Rodriguez, Bob Montgomery and Al Herman and more. Just in 2018, the Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio hosted the Manuel Espinoza Quintet, the Gabriel Mervine Quartet and The Aaron Walker Quartet.  (We’re just scratching the surface here.)

We’re on the 4’s and 5’s, “Quartets and Quintets.”  It’s “On Stage” hosted by Susan Gatschet, this Sunday at 4 p.m., only on KUVO Jazz.
