On Stage: Highlights & Previews – The Five Points Jazz Festival!

This Sunday, May 13, at 4 p.m., KUVO’s performance series “On Stage” features highlights from past Five Points Jazz Festivals, and previews of bands playing this year.

Over the past 15 years, Denver’s Five Points Jazz Festival has earned a reputation as one of the most expansive free music festivals in a major American city. This year, more than 40 bands will be playing on 11 stages along the famed Welton Street, once known as the “Harlem of the West.” For this week’s “On Stage,” we’ll pull a few tracks from KUVO’s live broadcasts from past Five Points Jazz Festivals, and share a few live tracks from bands playing at this year’s festival, including Robert Johnson and the Mark Diamond Trio, Carmen Sandim, Bucknerfunkenjazz, Gumbo le Funque and more!
