On Stage — Ann Hampton Callaway

Coming up next on KUVO’s performance series “On Stage”, we take you back to the Vail Jazz Festival at Vail Square for an evening with Ann Hampton Callaway. Tune in, Monday, May 16, at 7 pm.

Callaway, a multi-platinum recording artist, is considered a leading champion of the Great American Songbook. In her set under the tent at Vail Square, she exults in a repertoire of familiar (and less so) songs associated with movies, classic and otherwise, revealing her elegant and playful treatments of jazz classics as well as her own original songs (which Barbra Streisand has covered on seven of her CDs). Ann Hampton Callaway – singer, pianist, composer, lyricist, and arranger, is surrounded by a top-name trio: Shelly Berg (piano), Martin Wind (bass), Tim Horner (drums).
