On Stage—2019 Highlights

Join “On Stage” producer and host Susan Gatschet on Saturday, January 30, at 10 pm for an archive broadcast of 2019 highlights of performances from the Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio

FreeBear, led by Patrick McDevitt and Alejandro Castaño alongside a rotating cast of Denver’s most stellar young musicians, FreeBear delivers airtight grooves that exude a cool, irresistible funk. It’s jazz, funk, reggae, salsa and more all rolled into a good old-fashioned dance party.

Guitarist Joscho Stephan, of German decent and is a modern Gypsy Jazz guitarist known for being a blinding virtuoso. Joscho performed with Aaron Walker – Guitar, Claude Sim – Violin, and Gary Sloan – Bass.

Jazz Workshop Orchestra, from Denver School of the Arts under the direction of Dave Hammond, co-winners of Downbeat Magazines 43rd Annual Student Music Award, for Large Jazz Ensemble at a Performing Arts High School.
