New Music on The Night Beat

It’s a mid-year review of recently released jazz recordings by up-and-coming musicians on the next Night Beat. We’ll hear new music from Alexa Tarantino, Evan Arntzen, Florian Ross with the WDR Big Band, Diego Rivera, Keith Brown, and more plus new recordings by jazz veterans Charles Lloyd and Jim Snidero.

We’ll also note the birth date of vocalist Angelique Kidjo, born in West Africa on July 14, 1960 with a tune from her Grammy nominated recording Black Ivory Soul and guest appearances on albums by Cassandra Wilson and Daniela Mercury.
