New Music Monday Returns

Monday, January 11, marks the return of New Music Monday now in its 18th year!! To celebrate the new year, New Music Monday will expand to 2 hours to highlight most of the new arrivals to KUVO Jazz, from Noon until 2 pm. Don’t miss it!

Award-winning violinist Regina Carter impressive recording: “Swing States: Harmony in the Battleground” with her Freedom Band featuring Jon Batiste.

Harmonica virtuoso Hendrick Meurkens returns with “Manhattan Samba”, Brazilian music with a New York attitude.

The Jazz All Stars debut with “Volume One”, a fantastic aggregation of phenomenal players joining forces for a recording of the highest caliber.

Pianist Emmet Cohen leads his trio through a swinging session of originals and standards with 2 special guests on 4 of the tracks on the album “Future Stride”

Every Monday beginning at Noon, I debut the latest arrivals to KUVO Jazz, often ahead of their regularly scheduled release date. In addition to the music, I’ll provide a few tidbits about the artist in particular if it’s an new or up and coming artist.
