MSU-Denver Jazz Combo kicks off November Membership Drive

KUVO’s High School / Collegiate Performance Series in November with a special show to open our November Membership Drive, the MSU – Denver Jazz Combo, Thursday, November 10, at 1:00 p.m.

Band director Patrick McDevitt is a well-known bassist on the Denver jazz scene. He’s also the jazz bass instructor at Metropolitan State University – Denver, and he’s bringing the Jazz Combo to the airwaves to present some standards, as well as modern music, and a few neo-soul funky jazz tunes. It will be a sample of how America’s great jazz songbook is interpreted by today’s students, with a dose of improvised music that is stirring their imaginations.

This event will be broadcast from the Bonfils-Stanton Performance Studio, with room for our KUVO Studio Club and Beat Collective members.
