Written by Gerald Marks and Seymour Simmons in 1931, “All of Me” is one of the most recorded songs of its era.
First performed by actress and singer Belle Baker over the radio, “All of Me” was also recorded in 1931 by star Ruth Etting.
Notable covers include versions by Russ Columbo, Bing Crosby, Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman, the Count Basie Orchestra, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Dinah Washington and many more!
In more recent years, the song was played by actors Redd Foxx and Scatman Crothers on the 1970’s tevelvision show Sanford and Son and on a Muppet Show episode guest staring Paul Williams.
