The Colorado Dashiki Festival, in its eighth year, is a cultural celebration of African and Caribbean fashion, food, and music, held at Levitt Pavilion in Denver’s Ruby Hill Park on Saturday, August 31.

Sponsored by the Colorado African Cultural Center, the weekend also features a Career, Business, and Networking Expo on Friday, August 30, from 4 to 8 p.m. at 4800 Dahlia St., Denver CO.

After Dashiki Fest, the official Dashiki After Party will be held on Saturday, August 31, from 9 a.m. to Sunday, September 1, 2 a.m. at The Dahlia, 119 S. Broadway, Denver CO.

Executive Director and founder of the Colorado African Cultural Center Samuel Ogah shared the motivation and history of Dashiki Fest with The Morning Set’s Abi Clark and Steve Chavis.
