Denver’s Westwood neighborhood is one of Denver’s most diverse, and this weekend’s Saigon Azteca Night Market is a massive celebration of both Asian and Mexican culture. The festival is on Saturday, August 10, from 2 – 10 p.m. on Morrison Road between S. Quitman St. and South Patton Court.

The cross-cultural mashups on display include a Folklorico Fan Dance, and a car show featuring low riders and Japanese sports cars. The food collabs are mind-blowing: Kimchi tacos, chicken teriyaki tostadas, “Phosole” (Pho and Posole), a Birria Ramen eating competition, and more!

KUVO Morning Set’s Abi Clark spoke with organizers Mimi Luong of the Far East Center, and Damaris RonKanen, who founded Hecho en Westwood. They discussed the event in its third year, as well as year-round ways they’re building up youth and community in the Westwood neighborhood.
